Revisiting blogpost of 1 July- a forgotten art
I bumped into this today on "listening" - good follow-up to something I wrote about on 1 July. Its from the blog of Stephen Shapiro, an ex partner in Accenture and given that background, oddly the author of a book called "Goal-free Living."
This is about a life in flux. A continual re-imagining of the future to give meaning to the present- not a pilgrimage to some fixed goal.
A day-to-day creative exercise in self-invention, adaptation, discovery, recovery, despair, and repair.
What we search for does not exist until we find it.
Where both the past and the future are raw material, shaped and reshaped to compose a life out of relevant fragments. Remembering what has meaning for now and what will come, and letting go of what no longer matters.
